The Atlas

¡Adiós y gracias por todas las tortillas!

Today marks the end of the Mexican chapter of my digital nomad adventure. I am leaving Mexico a couple weeks earlier than originally planned so that I can return for a visit to California to be there when my father has surgery at the end of this week.

I am extremely grateful, however, because I got to cap off my time in Mexico with an incredible vacation around the State of Puebla (south of Mexico City). I was able to spend two fantastic weeks exploring small mountain towns, eating amazing local food, learning to cook some regional culinary specialties and seeing some of the most fantastic historical, cultural and artistic things Mexico has to offer.

The Mexican Office of Tourism has a program called "Pueblos Magicos," and for anyone interested in exploring the small, cultural gems scattered throughout Mexico, I highly recommend checking them out. I was reminded of the things most iconic (sans beaches, of course, since I was in the mountains) about Mexico at every turn during the trip, and it made the absolute perfect ending to my time in the country.

I am extremely grateful to my friends for opening their home in Monterrey to me. It was the perfect springboard for launching my expat adventure, and I am going to miss them when I go.

In the meantime, I have re-launched my business, which is now focusing first and foremost on coaching. (Shameless plug: I did my first YouTube Livestream video yesterday, in case you are interested in checking it out. I'd love some feedback. I'll be doing them weekly, while my coach is putting me through my paces on my marketing efforts. I am now doing weekly emails too, in case you would like to join the list.)

The fantastic team at Design Good is at work on my updated branding and website, which should be ready for debut in the next few weeks.

And after my August detours through Sonoma County, Austin, Atlanta, New York and Miami, I will be leaving at the end of Labor Day weekend for the next leg of my expat adventure, which will be taking me to Medellin, Colombia. I'll plan on about 3-months to start, and then figure it out from there.

I hope you are having a glorious summer, and getting into as much trouble as your stash of bail money can support.

Best,
